more than a dozen crimes. the first incident took place friday night just before 11pm near the intersection of communications hill and mullinix way. a woman was carjacked and beaten. 4 juveniles have been arrested an 11 year old boy and 3 girls ages 13 to 14.then saturday about 440 in the morning just 3 miles away on cherry avenue a driver was carjacked at gunpoint 3 boys and 3 girls ranging in age from 13 to 15 were arrested for this crime. also over the weekend a 17 was arrested for vehicle theftsotthese kids are committing adult crimes and they need to be held accountablesan jose police chief eddie garcia says there's been a huge spike in juvenile arrests over the last year year to date juvenile robbery arrests up almost 70%, burglary arrests up almost 65% and stolen vehicle arrests up over 100% sot eddie garcia/san jose police chief 55-104i haven't seen spikes like these in quite some time and it's kind of startling. so we need to sit down with our county partners to see how we can reduce these numbersof the 11 arrested, most have already been returned to their parents after a brief stay in juvenile hall. garcia thinks that's part of the problem.sotyou're released within a few hours of

saying he touched them inappropriately. kron 4's justine waldman is in san carlos with reaction from parents and the school district's response. justine waldman standup "detectives are not done with their investigation. they worry there might be other young victims out there."he had only worked at the after school program for one month, and now 19 year old huang kim tran from san mateo county faces charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. sot it is very disturbing sot it is disgusting behaviorthe allegations come from when tran was a smart-e after- school aide held at brittan acres elementary.he also had playground supervision duties. in september, the san mateo county sheriff's office tells kroon 4 news a 6 year old girl came forward and said tran touched her inappropriately. the san carlos school district then fired him.as the criminal investigation continued, a 7 year old girl also came forward claiming tran touched her in an unwanted away. detectives arrested him on monday.the school district says tran passed all fingerprinting and background checks. rick fulton sot it is very unfortunate i think they did the best they could but sometimes things fall through the cracksthe criminal complaint against trans show the disturbing accusation that he touched the victims between their legs to for pleasure. parents are shocked someone

41-year-old michael azarian died sunday at u-c davis medical center in sacramento. he was being treated for extensive burns. azarian was an engineer ... and moved to santa rosa two- years ago for a new job. a friend says, he tried to take shelter in a small clearing near his home, when the fires broke out on october 8th. the next day he was discovered with severe burns on more than half of his body. stormed a recent school board meeting to voice their concerns. they are upset over the possibility of teacher layoffs, slashed programs, and the elimination of a number of special classes (pam) the oakland unified school district faces a 15- point- one million dollar shortfall. district. oakland officials recently revealed the enormous shortfall and at a board meeting some parents so furious - they chanted for cuts to only happen at the top administrators.john sasaki, ousd spokesperson. how did this happen? a confluence of issues, not enough money from the state, and lack of accountability we overspent and now need to reign it in. the state of california was forced to step in and take over oakland unified school district more than a decade ago and that lead to some large broad cuts.sasaki. what is on the chopping block? schools? no. schools, we are trying to figure it all out. sasaki says the board put the pressure on schools directly - asking them to give them lists of what to eliminate or reduce. olivia udovic. it is all awful.for parents at manzanita seed - it is all incomprehensa ble to think about any reductions or cuts to children. monalisa. we already operate on a low budge, we can't take any more.(estacio)the school district has a meeting next week for input, and then a final meeting on december 13 where the full amount of cuts will be announced. here in oakland, te, kron four news. in san jose claims ... she is being harassed by her own students. and it's all because of her religion.(steve) that teacher says, the school district is not doing enough to stop the abuse . kron-four's rob fladeboe explains why she decided to file a grievance with the school district. maimona berta is a special education teacher here at fischer middle school in the alum rock union school district. she has reportedly filed a formal complaint and a grievance against the district. the complaintis said to detail several occasions when she was allegedly the object of derogatory slurs and other anti-muslim hate speech by students. civil rights attorney brittney rezaei says such incidents are on the rise at schools across the country. sotbrittney rezaei/council on american islamic relations in a statement, alum rock district superintendent hilari bauer said that quote "...todays negative political climate at the national level continues to poison classrooms

(pam) a florida man is facing serious charges.... after being accused of secretly recording tourists in his condo... (steve) this after a couple who recently rented the space on air b-n-b found cameras hidden in their bedroom. then found another in the living room. detectives say the host ---wayne natt--- told them he had used the cameras to record his sex parties.

opened this gym in 2015 and co-owns it with his wife pam. he appears to be well known in the area and has worked in the fitness world here for several years. i talked a woman who knows him and his family. she says she is heartbroken and shocked. and finds it hard to believe based on who she knows borsellino to be. she told me he is very active in the community and helps raise money for different causes. the gym's website says he has two sons and is involved in events and fundraisers for the boys and girls club and the alhambra high school sports teams. borsellino was arrested on suspicion of four counts of lewd acts with a child under 14 years old. he was booked into the contra costa county jail. i talked to a woman who lives in the area.. who says she's saddened by these accusations.i'm not surprised. it's in the society it has been for a long time, hidden. i think it's good that it's coming to light because more parents need to be aware of what's going on. i think the most important thing is parents really need to listen to their kids because kids are honest by nature and they will tell you what's happening. we just need to listen as adults to it. another thing i'll say on the other side because it's so easy to be accused. let's make sure it's a valid accusation. let's make sure it's honest and valid before we say hey this is what this person is.
